If you are looking for a replacement for the iPhone calendar, then Calvetica is it!
British National Treasure and newest member of the Norwich City FC Board Steven Fry, has just released the second volume of his Autobiography. In keeping with his well publicised interest in technology, especially all things Apple, its great to see that in addition to the standard hardback book (£20) you can also access The Fry Chronicles as an audiobook and iBook (£12.99)
Most interesting of all is the release of an iPhone app called myFry (£7.99). As TUAW point outs (see below), rather than a linear story this uses a colour wheel to navigate the story line, allowing the user to make their own journey through the book
myFry: Stephen Fry’s second autobiography becomes an interactive app:
The myFry app looks quite intriguing. Instead of linearity, (which is so passé) these days Fry opted for a color wheel that can take you to any themed section of the book where you can read sections of that theme. So the book isn’t meant to be read in any particular order, at least on the iPhone. Without seeing it, (being a bloody Yank), I can see this working, since Fry’s writing is quite anecdotal and randomly breaking it up might be just the thing. I can’t wait to get my hands on it.

Would definitely be worth a look for anybody looking for a simple portable stand for their iphone or ipad

For those that missed the Apple Event earlier today, the legendary Andy Ihnatko did an excellent live commentary of what happened.
Its a great way to experience the event, get Andy’s take on the bits you’re interested in (for me Apple TV, iOS4.1 & 4.2) and skim read the rest
Apple Event – My Live (to tape) Blog:
Steve takes the stage and starts by showing off the glam new Paris Apple Store, and the new Shanghai Apple Store. New York gets a big glass cube; Shanghai gets a big glass cylinder. Coca-Cola is now in negotiations to fill it with 178,000 gallons of beverage on special occasions.
I’m not “liveblogging” this because there’s an actual livestream that people should probably watch instead. This blog post is intended for the contemplation and illumination of future generations.
